Nendo designs new Together retail concept for Camper in NYC and Madrid
Following an earlier store concept based around the idea of ‘shoes that walk freely through the air’ Nendo has, once again, created a stunning new space in both our 5th Avenue (New York) and Serrano (Madrid) stores.
“We’ve created a new concept for large Camper stores based on the same idea that “the shoes are walking on air”
This new concept has all the hallmarks of a minimalist Nendo design and has been inspired by an art installation, in which the shoes are the main focus.
As Oki Sato, explains: “We’ve created a new concept for large Camper stores based on the same idea that “the shoes are walking on air”, an idea developed for smaller stores in places like Osaka, Paris, San Francisco and Moscow.”
For these stores, Nendo used a different approach, working natural light, colour and three-dimesional texture with a twist.
This new concept has all the hallmarks of a minimalist Nendo design
Oki explains more: “When designing such a big space you have to face the challenge of how to use the upper half of the walls to display the shoes in areas with such high ceilings. Our new approach involves making white resin models of the Pelotas shoe, one of our most iconic styles, and decorating the walls with them to fill the space and create the feel of an orderly stockroom.”
To really appreciate the new design, feel free to drop by to our stores and experience the new interior, which we hope you´ll love. The stores can be found at 522 Fifth Avenue NYC, or Calle Serrano 24, Madrid.
