Delicious debate at casa camper
World-leading chefs, Ferran Adrià, Joan Roca and Andoni Luis Aduriz came to Berlin recently to join Albert Raurich and Paco Pérez for a very special day of gastronomic dialogues.
The event took place in our own casa camper and DAS STUE Hotel. The day began with the vibrant Ferran Adrià who is world-renowned for bringing about a revolution to gastronomy. He said that chefs and the food industry must go back and lay the groundwork again in order to find the answers about how eating habits evolved over time. Through this and his work with Barcelona University, he is creating Bullipedia, a reference guide to enable chefs to get a better understanding and classification of products, in order to produce creative experiments and be able to research what has already been done, by whom, and what is still left to do.

Then, Andoni Luis Aduriz who is the representative of Basque cuisine and owner of the fourth best restaurant in the world completed the morning with the idea that interaction with other disciplines outside of gastronomy such as anthropologists, psychiatrists and historians can create synergies, which enables chefs and their cuisine to evolve. He suggested it would allow the industry to gain an understanding of the process of transforming food ingredients into something different.
Lunch was prepared by our own Albert Raurich and his skilled team, where guests dined on 17 courses of Asian-Spanish fusion served together with Perelada Sparkling Wine.
Among the guests were some of Germany´s best Michelin Star Chefs, including Klaus Erfort, Sven Elverfeld, Thomas Bühner, Kevin. In fact, in total there were more than 35 Michelin stars together at one table!
After lunch it was a pleasure to listen to Joan Roca, whose restaurant has recently been awarded the prestigious title of being the best in the world. Roca let his imagination run wild in his presentation of “Somni”, a new and stimulating way of looking at gastronomy which provocatively stimulates our senses towards the extreme. The day then ended with a fantastic dinner at CINCO.
