Camper opens its first Together store in Brazil
Camper has opened its first Together store in Sao Paulo located in the Iguatemi JK Shopping Centre.
The store’s design, created by Atelier’s Marko Brajovic, stands out for the strength of its colours and the simplicity of its design. As the designer explained, it is inspired by the popular decorations found at Brazilian festivals: “…For our first project with Camper, we were inspired by aspects of Brazilian popular culture, which is rich in information, colour and emotion. Our main source of inspiration was traditional Brazilian folk festivals, where intricate backdrops are created by thick layers made up of coloured strips. We recreated this in store, using shoe laces to change the space into a sensory and theatrical experience, where each day the visitors become the actors”.
Born in Montenegro in 1973, Marko Brajovic founded Atelier, which carries his name, in 2009. It is a multidisciplinary studio that works in the areas of architecture and interiors and stands out due to its theatrical design projects. Among them are “Samsung Tree” in JK Iguatemi in 2012-2013, “Google Creative SandBox” in 2012 and the installation in the Brazilian Pavilion of the Shanghai Expo 2010.
